Dosage & Directions
Herbal capsules:
1-6 capsules, two times daily, with meals (dose by size and level of discomfort).
Examples:
- 12 pounds or less (1-2 caps/twice daily);
- 13 pounds - 50 pounds (2-4 caps/twice daily);
- over 50 pounds (4-6 caps/twice daily).
Increase if needed. Important: use as directed, and increase dosage if needed. Products are for both dogs and cats.
Tips for Administering herbal capsules to your pet:
- Put a small piece of cheddar cheese in microwave to soften (5 seconds); then wrap soft, sticky cheese around capsule (cheese will stick to harden onto capsule). Most pets will wolf this right down.
- Hide capsule in small meatball of canned food, and HAND FEED as a treat (be sure first meatball has no capsule in it so that your pet won't be "suspicious") - important to hand feed.
- Hide capsule in a pill pocket, or hide in thin slice of lunch meat, or cover it in peanut butter or cream cheese and hand feed.
- Open capsule and dilute powder in water - then mix into food or syringe directly into the mouth (or back of tongue where there are no taste buds). This method is NOT recommended for Skin-eze capsules (this formula is very bitter).
